01 · Our commitment

Everyone deserves access.

Central Medical Clinic of Chicago (CentMed) is committed to making its website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboards instead of a mouse, magnification, or who have low vision, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities.

We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we keep improving the site.

02 · What we do

How the website helps.

  • Clear structure, with one main heading per page and logical subheadings, so screen readers can navigate.
  • Dark text on a light background for strong contrast.
  • Buttons, links and menus you can use with a keyboard.
  • Questions and answers in simple, native expandable lists.
  • Descriptive text for the photos on our pages.
  • Phone numbers and email addresses you can tap to call or write.
  • A layout that adapts to phones, tablets and larger text sizes.

03 · Known limits

What we are still improving.

Some parts of our site are not fully accessible yet:

  • Our downloadable patient forms are PDF files and may not work well with every screen reader.
  • The embedded Google Map on our directions page is provided by Google. Written directions and the clinic address are on the page too.
  • Some older images and documents may be missing full descriptions.

If you cannot use one of these, call us. We will give you the same information another way.

04 · Visiting the clinic

Help for your visit.

If you need an accommodation for your visit, please call 773.545.2525 before you come, or tell our team when you arrive. We will do our best to help.

  • Our team speaks English, Spanish (Español) and Polish (Polski).
  • Free street parking is available in front of the clinic and along Gunnison St.
  • You can complete forms at home before your visit.
